Think about an essential concept you seek to use in our research. Present three different versions of this concept as low-fidelity prototypes, such as storyboards or mock-ups. What did you learn of this concept?
In groups of five people, assign the roles of designer, researcher and three users. Choose one societal shared problem to discuss and design. The role of the researcher is to examine the situation and make notes and draw conclusions. The role of the designer is to help participants to design: drawing prototypes, asking questions and facilitating participation. The three users discuss the societal problem and potential solutions, seeking to develop with the designer prototypes to address the problem. Discuss in groups for 20 minutes (or longer if you have the time). Then allow the researcher to reflect on his observations. What did the participation and discussion reveal about the social problem?
